SO excited! I got my personalized license plates in the mail today!! I love them, and can't wait to put them on my car. Thanks, Alejandro, for writing such an amazing and inspirational song!! :)
Yeah.....I like these guys just a little bit. :)
Inspired by my favorite Boyce Avenue song, "Dare To Believe"
Gearin' up to promote Boyce Avenue's Fall Tour in the Pacific Northwest.....it's gonna be so much fun!!
Before their last show on their European Tour, Boyce Avenue sat down with Sean and Ivan from Ireland's elev8 show to chat. It's a fun interview, and they even do a little dancing at the end. :)
Monday night, Boyce Avenue rocked the house at KOKO in London....and fellow fan and Street Teamer Vikki got to experience Boyce Avenue up close and personal with a Meet & Greet after the show. Here's Vikki's recap of the night London got Boyced!!
I’ve decided to split this into three parts as I had three different experiences: The Show....The Meet and Greet....And meeting up with other hard core fan,s aka The BA Family!
The Show
To say that the crowd were simply excited is an understatement. The place was buzzing with energy and a burning desire to see those three amazing brothers up on stage doing what they do best!
Waiting for the guys to come on stage was so exciting I had trouble trying to stay calm and not spill my drinks! Then the lights went down. The music started to build and BAM!! There they were The Manzano Brothers! All three, looking very cool and very sexy. They started with Daylight, straight into Tonight which is one of my favourites. I can’t accurately remember the set list but every song was met with passion from the crowd including myself.
Broken Angel was devastatingly beautiful, as was Briane. My favourites, On My Way and Find Me were sung effortlessly. Alejandro’s voice was so intoxicating I couldn’t help but just stand there watching him. Both songs were sung with raw emotion that brought tears to my eyes. At the same time hearing them sung like that was like experiencing a passionate clinch in the darkest corner of a bedroom. Totally toe tingling. When The Lights Die was electric and on fire! I love seeing these guys getting lost in the zone and rocking it out up on stage with oodles of energy and enjoyment. Even better when they are taking us along for the ride with them. They were rocking so hard that Ale’s G-string snapped!!!... On his guitar!!!They were talking and being funny throughout the show, which was great. Us Londoners love a good laugh and a sing off to Hear Me Now. They performed I think four covers Back for Good, Wonderwall, Perfect and Dynamite with the Cajon play off which was excellent. They were totally on form and everything about the show was brilliant. An exquisite, performance, one which I was thrilled to share with my sister and friends.
The Meet & Greet
As soon as the guys left the stage, we had to make our way over to the merchandise table and wait for the man with The List (which hundreds of girls would give anything to get on, and I’m thrilled to say that I was on it!) There were a few fans who did try it on but as the saying goes, “If your name's not down, you’re not going in.” Once everyone was assembled we were taken back stage for the Meet and Greet.
As we made our way though, I started to feel a little nervous. Don’t know why and I had no reason to be either. Fabian came out first, big smile on his face and straight away started hugging us all one by one. We all had items to get signed and photos to take, so while he chatted away with us he started signing. I asked him to sign a poster for my daughter Rosie who is 5 years old. He did and wrote her name at the top with a little heart underneath.
Alejandro and Daniel then came out, smiling and giving full-on hugs. It was a very surreal moment to have them standing there in front of me....three guys whom I greatly admire and respect in so many ways. Ale made his way round to me for a photo. So I took the opportunity to give him the “Falloon” bracelets I made (platted leather cord with some beads and one bead with his falloon face painted on it.)
Daniel came over and I gave him his bracelet. They said, “Oh, that is awesome!” and started laughing. They asked if I used a different coloured bead for Fabians, and I told them no, I just painted it slightly darker just like it is on the t shirts and video log, which they found very funny. It all got a bit busy then and the guys had to leave, but before they left they made sure we were okay and happy that we had everything signed, etc. One last cuddle goodbye for each of us and that was the end of the meet and greet.
Meeting, Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel was incredible they are very funny guys, cool, down to earth and tall! They take it all in stride and genuinely care about us fans and want to interact with us all. I love the fact that I can now say that I went backstage and cuddled three tall, dark and handsome men! LOL! What more could a girl ask for?
The BA Family
The other wonderful experience of that night was meeting some fellow Boyce Avenue fans, or The BA Family as we now call ourselves. For months we have all chatted away on facebook. And with the help of facebook, twitter and mobile phones, we managed to all meet up. It was amazing and very emotional as we all shared this intense passion about Boyce Avenue and to finally m be together in what was an exhilarating performance was quite overwhelming. Lots of photos were taken and gifts exchanged.
After it was all over and doors closed, Daniel had already left with his gorgeous family, but we managed to grab Fabian and Alejandro for one last group photo and more hugs! Needless to say the whole night was EPIC!
I’ve been to many gigs but only a handful of them have ever left me feeling so high. These guys are right up there on top of my list. They are just three guys, three guitars and their excellent drummer Jason Burrows. No thrills, no gimmicks just true talent and pure class. Boyce Avenue are sensational and deserve great success. If you haven’t seen them yet shame on you! GO! Go now and get Boyced!!
Vikki Marchant
Thanks for sharing your Boyce Avenue adventure with us, Vikki! Sounds like it was a fantastic time!! :)
Boyce Avenue has fans across the country and around the world, so I thought it would be fun to feature a different fan each month.
This month's Featured Fan is Emy from Chicago, Illinois!!
ABOUT EMY:
Age: 15 years old
Hometown: Chicago, Illinois
How did you first discover Boyce Avenue?
I discovered them when I found their cover of "Drops of Jupiter" on YouTube. I immediately subscribed and began watching their videos, but I didn't feel too involved yet, because I wasn't part of their Street team and I didn't know that much about them. When they released their collaboration videos with Savannah Outen, I knew that I was definitely a Boyce Avenue fan! :) It was then that I became part of the Street Team, met so many cool people, and I felt like I really became part of the BA family!
What is your favorite Boyce Avenue cover?
This is a hard one....probably "Will You Be There" because I felt like it was perfect!! Everything [in the video] looked amazing and the cover itself is amazing! I also really like "Dynamite" because it's such a fun song and Alejandro really seemed to get into it.
What is your favorite Boyce Avenue original song?
It would probably have to be "Dare To Believe." That song got me through a lot in my life and whenever I'm feeling down, I always listen to it. Another one I really like is "On My Way." It has such a cute message and it's so much fun when they play it live and everyone sings along!
How many times have you seen Boyce Avenue perform live?
I've only seen the guys live once, this past March in Chicago. This past year is when I really became a huge Boyce Avenue fan, so I was really glad I went to the concert! I can't wait for the next tour....I will definitely be seeing as many shows as I can!! :)
Tell us why you love Boyce Avenue.
I love Boyce Avenue because they are three amazing, talented musicians. Many musicians these days rely on auto tune to sound good, but Boyce Avenue has got true talent. They are one of the most talented bands out there! Their music is so meaningful and easy to relate to. They seem down-to-earth and so sweet and they're super cute! They love their fans...they always seem so grateful for everything we do [to support them] and they interact with us on Twitter and Facebook, which is awesome!! I love Boyce Avenue because of the amazing shows they put on and the connection they make with their fans. I can proudly say I've made the "Boyce Choice" and I'm truly a HUGE fan!!
Emy recently took a trip to Florida and while there, she found Boyce Street, where the guys lived when they were little kids! Very cool!!
"Thank you wonderful people for allowing us to live our dream everyday! Touring is truly one of the most amazing experiences because we get to share with you all! This music video is for you! See you on the road!" - Boyce Avenue
This new video makes my heart swell!! It's so cool seeing how much Boyce Avenue has grown as a band. Yet they've stayed true to who they are, and they've kept their fans at the forefront of everything they do.
Boyce Avenue, you're the epitome of class! We love you!!
It was two years ago today that I first discovered Boyce Avenue on YouTube. This is the video that started it all for me. When I heard Ale sing, "....but I'm afraid...." I thought to myself, WOW, this guy's really good! I was so moved by his passion. I loved how into the song he was.
I also remember thinking, That drum thing is really cool! What IS that thing?? Haha, snapadoo!!
Alejandro, Daniel & Fabian, you guys are the best!! Happy BAnniversary! :) ♥
Boyce Avenue recently teamed up with DeStorm Power for their second collaboration, a cover of P Diddy Dirty Money's "Coming Home." As usual, this version totally dominates the original (sorry, Diddy, but it's a fact.)
The third verse to this song hit me like a brick. Last February, my marriage ended, and I came home to Washington state, where I grew up, after living in Arizona for almost a decade. I had no job, no money, and no idea what I was gonna do. It was one of the scariest times of my life, but I fought my way back, and I'm now happier than I have been in a very long time.
Mad props to Boyce Avenue & DeStorm for taking a song that was mediocre at best and turning it into something uplifting, inspirational, and full of hope.
Check out the video below, and if you like it, buy it on iTunes on Boyce Avenue's Cover Collaborations album.
LYRICS:
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the world I’m coming home
Let the rain wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the world that I’m coming
I said I’m back up in this place
And I’m finally at the front of this race
And I ain’t going back,
I'ma rip this track so the world should remember my face
I said I’m back up in this place
And I’m finally at the front of this race
And I ain’t going back,
I'ma rip this track so the world should remember my face
Yeah, I’ve been away for awhile
I gave my word when I returned
That I'd come back with a smile,
Or don’t come back at all
The world is throwing blows,
But I ain’t backing off
Everybody claim they want to grow,
But they just slacking off
It took a lot of years to put the hood behind me
The best advice I got was that I had to find me
Another day, another challenge
I never thought I’d see the day I’d be rewarded for my talents
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the world I’m coming home
Let the rain wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the world that I’m coming home
And if you ever call up,
And say you fell down
It feels good that I can finally help them all up
I’m doing well now,
Let’s go to the mall now
We ain’t gotta split the bill,
I told you I got all us
Came a long way from those ghettos on the east coast
To 7th letter, 6th number, flying high who needs coach
I miss my son up in my arms, miss my homies, miss my mom
Her home cooking was the bomb
And even though she's gone I'm coming home
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the world I’m coming home
Let the rain wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the world that I’m coming home
This one’s for all my people in the struggle,
Unemployed or working double shifts,
Take your head and lift it in the air,
One fist in the air
Reach for the stars, you’re almost there,
You can make it, I’ve been there,
You can take it, I’ve been there
Even though all the hope is gone,
Find something to focus on,
You need motivation,
That’s the reason why we play this song
To let you know you’re not out in this world on your own,
And the only time you’re going back,
Is when you’re going home
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the world I’m coming home
Let the rain wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the world that I’m coming home

"Dare to Believe" is easily my favorite Boyce Avenue original song. I loved it the first time I heard it on their debut album All You're Meant To Be, but this re-worked version of it from the album All We Have Left is absolutely beautiful in its simplicity. I get completely lost in it. :)
My name is Melenie, and I am shamelessly obsessed with Boyce Avenue. I decided to start this blog to show my support for the band, so I figured what better way to start the fun than to tell you how I came to know and love Boyce Avenue.
In May of 2009, I went to YouTube searching for an acoustic version of One Republic's "Apologize" and found a cover of the song, performed by Boyce Avenue. I was absolutely blown away, and spent the next several hours watching the dozens of videos they had uploaded to YouTube. Not only was their selection of covers incredibly diverse, I found every single one to be better than the original version of the song. I was hooked.
I went to iTunes and bought everything I could find from this trio of brothers from Sarasota, Florida....four albums of acoustic covers, and their debut album of original music titled All You're Meant To Be.
Three months later, I saw Boyce Avenue perform live for the first time at a little place called Martini Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. I was so impressed with how awesome they sounded live, and how well they interacted with the crowd. I hung around after the show to meet them and tell them how much I enjoyed their music. They were so down-to-earth and easy to talk to. And so, my obsession was born. :)
Me & Boyce Avenue at Martini Ranch, Scottsdale, AZ, June 2009
Over the last two years, I have watched Boyce Avenue continue to produce covers that literally dominate the originals being played on the radio, as well as a second album of original music, All We Have Left. These guys are some of the most passionate and hard-working artists in the business. Not only do they produce and finance all of their own music and videos, but they also promote and finance their tours across the US and around the world. When they aren't touring, they spend their time in their home state of Florida, producing new videos and finding ways to make every cover they do their own....something die-hard fans call "Boycing a song."
Boyce Avenue's covers are incredible, but their original music is where they really shine. Each song has its own story, it's own personality, with beautiful, often deeply personal lyrics. It quite literally takes me to another place when I listen to them, touching my soul in a way no other music ever has. It's hard to explain the connection I feel to Boyce Avenue's music, but the impact it has had on me is profound. Like a faithful friend, it has gotten me through some of the darkest moments of my life over the last two years, and has been the soundtrack for some of my greatest personal triumphs.
Three months ago, I went to my second - and third - Boyce Avenue show....two nights in a row, at a great venue called The Vera Project in Seattle, Washington. Both shows were sold out, and the energy was incredible. They were even more amazing live than they were two years ago. It makes me proud to see how they've grown as a band, and there are few things I have found to be more fun than watching them interact with the crowd. These guys are the real deal in every way. Their live shows are not to be missed.

I invite each of you to spend some time getting to know Boyce Avenue's music. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Check out their YouTube Channel, and if you hear something that you like, support the band by buying it on iTunes. Links can be found at the end of this post, or in the sidebar to the right.
As for this blog....well, like I said, it's just my way of showing my support for the guys. I'll keep it updated with news, tour info, videos, featured fans, and more. Feel free to stop by anytime for a dose of Boyce Avenue. :)
In September of 2007, Boyce Avenue began showcasing their emotive, radio-friendly style on YouTube with videos of original material, as well as cover versions of popular songs. The videos began to resonate instantly with YouTube viewers. To date, the band has accumulated over 300 million views on YouTube, and has over a half million subscribers, making their channel one of the most frequented worldwide on YouTube. Their covers have been released in the form of seven digital EPs via their independent record label, 3Peace Records.
In 2008, they released their first full-length album of original music, All You’re Meant to Be.
In 2009, with their sights set on connecting with their online fan base, they turned their attention to touring, playing four headlining shows in the Philippines. Since then, the band has completed four tours in Europe, including shows in Germany, Ireland, France and the UK, and three US/Canada tours, with sold out shows in such major markets as Boston, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco and Seattle, and near-capacity shows in many other cities.
In addition to these tours, Boyce Avenue returned to the Phillipines in February 2010 to play two shows with 2009 American Idol Winner Kris Allen and the popular dance group The Jabbawockees, and opened two shows for The Goo Goo Dolls in Florida in August 2010.
In March 2010, the band released their second album of original material, All We Have Left. The album contains re-worked songs from their debut album, as well as new, previously unreleased songs.
Incredibly talented, down to earth and hard-working, keeping their fans at the forefront of everything they do, Boyce Avenue are well on their way to becoming one of the most successful bands in the industry.
